Coastal Ocean Acidification and Carbon Chemistry Measurements in the Northeast US, 2016

From August to November 2016, this dataset contains dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH, and nutrient measurements from profile and discrete samples in the Gulf of Maine, Georges Bank, and Mid-Atlantic Bight. It was collected using CTD and Niskin bottle instruments in support of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program's coastal monitoring and research objectives. The data aims to track changes in ocean carbon chemistry, a process known as ocean acidification.
