Description
26 healthy grazing Yili horses were sampled to analyze dynamic changes in milk. Milk production, basic nutrients, amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and immunologically active substances were measured on days 1, 10, 30, 60, 90, and 120 of lactation. The dataset was published by Changjiang Zang on figshare in April 2026.
Use Cases
Modeling the temporal trajectory of milk production based on lactation stage.
Analyzing correlations between lactation day and concentrations of vitamins or minerals.
Comparing amino acid and fatty acid profiles across different stages of lactation.
Studying the relationship between lactation stage and levels of immunologically active substances.
Strengths
Sampling was performed at six specific time points (days 1, 10, 30, 60, 90, 120) providing a longitudinal view.
Analysis covers a wide range of components including nutrients, amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and bioactive substances.
Data is from a controlled cohort of 26 healthy horses with comparable body conditions.
Limitations
The dataset is small at 129.9 KB, indicating limited scope.
Row count and column-level documentation are unknown, requiring manual inspection after download.
Data may reflect geographic and breed-specific bias inherent to the study of Yili horses.
