Daily Sea Surface Temperature Composites for Bonney Coast Upwelling

Himawari-8 satellite data provides daily sea surface temperature (SST) composites for the Bonney Coast Upwelling region from November 2016 to March 2017. The Australian Ocean Data Network presented this study at the 2017 Australian Marine Sciences Association Conference. It uses a topographical position index method to map upwelling signatures on a daily scale.

• Temporal coverage is limited to a single season (approximately 5 months from Nov 2016 to Mar 2017).
• Primary data format is a PDF, which may limit direct machine-readability and analysis of underlying raster data.
• Sample size and specific row/column counts for the underlying SST data are unknown.
