A longitudinal study tracks a nationally representative sample of kindergarteners from the 1998-99 school year through eighth grade. It collects data on children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, home environment, and school context. Information was gathered via direct child assessments, parent telephone interviews, and questionnaires for teachers and school administrators.
Data is provided in ZIPPED DAT and TEXT formats, which may require specific statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata) to read. The license is CC Zero (public domain).
