Description
Annual survey data from 1997 provides median, mean, and distribution statistics for total hourly earnings (excluding overtime) in the London region. The Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) is based on a 1% sample of employee jobs from HMRC PAYE records, with information obtained from employers. These National Statistics, produced by the Greater London Authority, cover employees on adult rates whose pay was not affected by absence, but exclude the self-employed and those not paid during the reference period.
