Antarctic Springtail Cold Tolerance and Genetic Variation Study

Primary ecophysiological experiments on the springtail Gressitacantha terranova assayed for antifreeze proteins and genetic variation. The study, conducted by SCIOPS, represents the first of its kind for Antarctic Collembola and was last updated in December 2007. Bulk collections were made from under rocks in the foothills surrounding Gondwana Station.
