Global data between 52° N and 52° S latitudes provides geolocation information for radiance pixels measured by the ECOSTRESS instrument on the International Space Station. The Level 1B geolocation product, version 002, is produced by LPCLOUD and corrects spacecraft ephemeris using Landsat-derived imagery. Data acquisition began in June 2018, with known operational gaps in late 2018, 2019, and early 2020.
Data is distributed in HDF5 format. Users must check the 'L1GEOMetadata/OrbitCorrectionPerformed' metadata flag to assess geolocation accuracy for each scene, as uncorrected files have significantly larger error.
