ECOSTRESS data measures plant temperature from the International Space Station to assess water needs and stress responses. The product provides instantaneous near-surface air temperature and relative humidity estimates downscaled to a 70-meter spatial resolution globally between 52° N and 52° S latitudes. This Level 3 tiled product is generated by NASA's LPCLOUD using linear regression with surface temperature, NDVI, and albedo as predictors.
Data is provided in Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) format, requiring compatible geospatial software for use. Users must be aware of documented data acquisition gaps and anomalies affecting specific time periods.
