Description
A retrospective study of 2,267 ICSI cycles (1,091 using ZyMōt microfluidic sorting and 1,176 using density gradient centrifugation) compares fertilization, blastocyst development, euploidy, and pregnancy outcomes. The data was authored by Hanna Balakier and last updated on May 12, 2026. It includes statistical comparisons for fertilization rates (81.0% vs. 78.7%), day 5 blastocyst proportions (25.6% vs. 18.3%), and cumulative clinical pregnancy rates in donor and non-donor groups.
Use Cases
Compare fertilization rates based on sperm preparation method (ZyMōt vs. DGC)
Analyze blastocyst developmental potential based on sperm DNA fragmentation and motility
Investigate clinical pregnancy and live birth outcomes stratified by oocyte source (donor vs. non-donor)
Assess embryo euploidy rates in relation to sperm processing technique across female ages 20-40
Strengths
Includes 2,267 total ICSI cycles, providing a substantial sample size for comparison
