Emergency hospital admissions in England for acute conditions like ear/nose/throat infections, kidney/urinary tract infections, and angina that could potentially have been avoided with better primary care management. The indicator is produced by the Government Digital Service and was last updated in February 2017, with a next version due in February 2018. It aims to measure reductions in admissions where hospital care might indicate a deterioration that could have been prevented.
