Four patients underwent endoscopic skull base and transoral surgery using the Negative-Pressure Otolaryngology Viral Isolation Drape (NOVID) system. The retrospective study from the University of California, San Francisco used fluorescein to trace droplet contamination during procedures. Results indicated minimal distant contamination, with instruments and cottonoids appearing as greater contributors than aerosolized droplets.
