European Country-Level Electricity Demand and Renewable Generation, 1979-2019

Hourly time series from 1979 to 2019 for 28 European countries, derived from ERA5 reanalysis data. The dataset includes aggregated wind and solar power generation based on a 2017 farm distribution, plus corresponding daily national electricity demand. It was produced by Hannah Bloomfield to investigate inter-annual variability of weather-dependent power system components.
