Description
Six novel species of the red algae genus Ethelia are described from subtropical and tropical ocean basins. The dataset, provided by Parks Australia, includes genetic sequence data (COI-5P, LSU rDNA, rbcL) and morphological characteristics used to define a new family, Etheliaceae. This record was made available following the decommissioning of the Australian Marine Parks Science Atlas.
