Description
321 milk samples from mammary glands without clinical signs were analyzed for somatic cell count, California Mastitis Test score, electrical conductivity, pH, chloride content, and bacteriological status. The study, authored by Alice Maria Melville Paiva Della Libera, calculated the predictive value of these indicators using bacteriological examination as the gold standard. Bacteriologic exam results showed 46.73% of samples were positive, with Staphylococcus sp. as the main isolated genus.
