A desktop study from the Australian Ocean Data Network investigates potential links between marine seismic surveys and commercial fish catch rates in the Bass Strait and Gippsland Basin. The analysis employs three novel generalized linear models to examine relationships with seismic operations and environmental variables for species like gummy shark and tiger flathead. No clear or consistent relationship between seismic surveys and subsequent catch rates was identified using the available commercial logbook and seismic data.
