Extremely Luminous X-Ray Source Candidates from Chandra Survey

A 2014-era survey of Chandra ACIS observations analyzed 9,400 observations and cross-correlated sources with 77,000 galaxies within 250 Mpc. The catalog includes 119 unique luminous X-ray source candidates and 41 hyperluminous X-ray candidates from NASA. The data was compiled by visually inspecting X-ray and optical images to exclude galactic nuclei and other non-candidate sources.
