Field Images for Visible Red Palm Weevil Detection in Egyptian Date-Palm Farms

Al-Kharga Oasis, Egypt, is the location for this dataset of 974 field-acquired images from a commercial date-palm farm, supporting automated pest detection. The dataset was developed by Abdelmoniem Helmy for a study comparing YOLOv12 and RF-DETR models, with images captured under natural lighting using multiple smartphone cameras.
