It was developed by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and authored by Clarissa Swarts.
Use Cases
Analyze the spatial extent of the management plan area to assess regional conservation coverage.
Integrate the boundary layer with other land-use datasets using the provided spatial join keys.
Map the DBCA regions of Swan, South-west, and Warren, and the Redmond forest block for regional planning.
Support ecologically sustainable forest management (ESFM) analysis by delineating the managed area.
Strengths
Covers a defined area of over 2.5 million hectares.
Plan is developed on a decadal cycle, providing structured long-term management context.
Authoritative source from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
Available in multiple spatial formats including GeoJSON, SHP, and Geopackage.
Limitations
No tabular column or row count is provided, limiting understanding of attribute data structure.
Sample data is unavailable for previewing specific attributes or geometry complexity.
The dataset is a single boundary polygon, not a collection of individual features or time-series observations.
