A genome-wide functional genomics screen in the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii investigated tolerance to the herbicides paraquat and diuron. The dataset, authored by Tim Godec and last updated in May 2026, successfully uncovered nuclear-encoded pathways governing susceptibility, including genes for photosynthetic machinery assembly and novel non-target-site resistance mechanisms. The findings provide mechanistic insights to advance ecotoxicological risk assessments.
