A geospatial dataset identifying areas where new ponds would benefit Great Crested Newt populations. The data, created by Natural England in 2022, classifies areas as 'Core' or 'Fringe' based on pond density and predicted newt presence, and scores habitat suitability using grassland, woodland, and arable land cover percentages. It excludes urban areas, roads, rivers, and flood zones.
Contains multiple third-party licensors and Crown Copyright data; users must comply with all attribution statements and license terms (e.g., Ordnance Survey licence numbers). Data is provided in PDF and ZIP formats.
