Description
A 465.97 Mb chromosome-level genome assembly for the mangrove-dwelling bivalve Enigmonia aenigmatica, comprising 8 chromosomes with a scaffold N50 of 58.83 Mb. The dataset includes annotation for 17,728 protein-coding genes, generated by Xin Liao using PacBio HiFi, WGS, Hi-C, and transcriptome sequencing data. It was last updated on April 9, 2026.
Use Cases
Comparative genomics studies based on the chromosome-level assembly and 17,728 annotated genes.
Research into molluscan evolution and adaptation based on the genomic background of a unique mangrove-dwelling species.
Analysis of gene structure and function in bivalves based on the comprehensive gene annotation.
Ecological adaptation studies in intertidal environments based on the genomic resource for a mangrove-associated organism.
Strengths
Chromosome-level assembly with high contiguity, indicated by a scaffold N50 of 58.83 Mb.
Assembly derived from multiple sequencing technologies, including PacBio HiFi, WGS, Hi-C, and transcriptome data.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
