Three stratigraphic subdivisions define the Lawn Hill Platform Cover, a sequence of Proterozoic sediments and volcanics in northwest Queensland. Economic copper, lead, and zinc sulphide deposits are concentrated at two main horizons within the McNamara Group. This dataset from Geoscience Australia describes the platform's tectonic style, deformation into basins and domes, and the association of deposits with carbonaceous shales and algal dolomite.
