North Queensland's Cairns-Townsville hinterland, covering 35,000 square miles, was mapped from 1956 to 1959. The data describes the geological history of the Georgetown Shield and the adjacent Tasman Geosyncline, including sediment thicknesses and igneous intrusions. It was published by Geoscience Australia Data.
