Seventeen diamond drill holes were used to investigate the high-pressure penstock route and power station site for the Port Moresby hydroelectric scheme. The report from Geoscience Australia details rock types, including volcanic agglomerate and tuffs, and assesses foundation stability and scree slope challenges. It describes a proposed direct route for the penstock from near peg T8 over hole P5 to the power station.
