Description
A 1:250,000 scale geological map of the Piemonte region in northwest Italy provides a graphic representation of the area's geology, grounded on a large geodatabase. The map, produced by Fabrizio Piana, is the first release of the 'GeoPiemonte Map' project. It results from a thorough revision of existing geological maps and literature, integrated with unpublished original data, and uses a lithostratigraphic classification consistent with IUGS standards.
