Keppel Bay in Central Queensland, Australia, represents a macrotidal interface between the Fitzroy River catchment and the Great Barrier Reef shelf. The dataset contains a classification of seabed sediments into five distinct classes, derived from sediment sampling and acoustic seabed mapping. The study was contributed by the Australian Ocean Data Network and was last updated in April 2026.
