Global Annual PM2.5 Concentration Grids Derived from Satellite AOD

Global raster grids provide annual average concentrations of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in micrograms per cubic meter from 2001 to 2010. The data was derived from MODIS and MISR satellite aerosol optical depth retrievals, converted to ground-level concentrations using a model developed by Dalhousie University researchers. The grids were produced by Battelle Memorial Institute and Columbia University under a NASA project.

• Grid resolution of 30 arc-minutes may be too coarse for local-scale or urban analysis.
