GPM Ground Validation Ceilometer Cloud Data from GCPEx

This dataset contains lidar backscatter profiles and cloud layer data collected during the GPM Cold-season Precipitation Experiment (GCPEx) from January 15 to March 1, 2012. It was gathered using a VAISALA CT25K ceilometer in Huronia, Ontario, Canada to support the validation and improvement of Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) satellite snowfall retrieval algorithms. The dataset is stewarded by the GHRC DAAC.
