Version 07 is the current climate-reference product providing daily global precipitation averages. The data is derived from the NOAA-18 satellite's Microwave Humidity Sounder (MHS) using the GPROF algorithm with homogeneous ECMWF-Interim reanalysis ancillary data. It is produced by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and hosted by the GES DISC.
