GPM TRMM Spectral Latent Heating Profiles: Vertical Heat Release Estimates

Tropical and subtropical regions are covered by this dataset of vertical latent heating profiles derived from TRMM Precipitation Radar (PR) data. NASA's Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC) produced Version 07, which supersedes all older versions. The profiles are generated using lookup tables from cloud-resolving model simulations, based on precipitation-top height, surface rates, melting level rates, and rain type.
