Description
The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, with support from GIZ and Rwandan government partners, collected ground reference data for crop monitoring between 6 May and 7 June 2025. The dataset covers four districts in Rwanda—Nyagatare, Musanze, Nyabihu, and Ruhango—and focuses on maize, beans, rice, and Irish potato. It includes farm locations, plot characteristics, crop attributes, management practices, GPS coordinates, and photographs to train AI classification models.
