Description
A GeoPDF map of the Harris Greenstone Domain, an Archean-Proterozoic terrane in the Gawler Craton. The map layers depict lithological zones, magnetic features, and interpreted greenstone belt structures based on aeromagnetic and gravity data. The Australian Ocean Data Network published this map, last updated on 2026-04-16.
Use Cases
Analyze magnetic anomaly patterns based on the described east-northeast trending sinuous magnetic high features
Map lithological boundaries and terrane structure based on described rock types and shear zones
Assess mineral exploration potential for Ni-Cu-PGE and gold based on the described komatiite sequences
Integrate geological interpretations with other geographic data based on the georeferenced GeoPDF format
Strengths
Map is georeferenced, allowing coordinate and distance retrieval and compatibility with other geographic data
Data layers can be toggled on and off, enabling custom views similar to GIS tools
Interpretation incorporates multiple data sources: aeromagnetics, gravity, and diamond drillcore
Limitations
Row count and column-level documentation are absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
The dataset is a static map; the underlying tabular or vector data is not directly accessible
Provenance

Collection Method
Interpretation of aeromagnetics, gravity, and diamond drillcore
