High-Resolution Acoustic Seafloor Habitat Maps of Tasmania's East Coast

Multibeam acoustic imagery was used to map fine-scale abalone habitat impacted by urchins in waters less than 25 meters deep. The data provides a snapshot of the 2021 distribution of seafloor substrate types, kelp coverage, and urchin barrens along Tasmania's east coast. It is available via the Seamap Australia portal for visualization and download by fishing block.
