Nimbus-6 satellite daily infrared radiances measured across five spectral regions, including CO2 and water vapor absorption bands. The instrument scanned cross-track with 21 scans per side, providing data with approximately 30 km x 55 km resolution at nadir. These calibrated radiances were collected by NOAA's National Environmental Satellite Service from August 17, 1975 through March 4, 1976.
Data is archived in its original IBM 32-bit word binary record format (binary TAP file), which may require specific software or libraries to read.
