HR2P Peptide Efficacy Against Porcine Deltacoronavirus

Yixiao Liang designed peptides HR1P and HR2P from the spike protein of porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) and evaluated their antiviral properties. HR2P exhibited potent in vitro activity with an EC50 of 6.65 μM, showed efficacy against HR1-mutated variants, and demonstrated broad cross-species inhibitory activity. Pharmacokinetic analysis confirmed stable systemic exposure after intramuscular administration in piglets.
