Edwin Hirtreiter developed a dynamic, plant-wide process model of a biogas steam reforming plant for hydrogen production using UniSim Design. The model was validated under steady-state and dynamic conditions with experimental data from a pilot plant measurement campaign. Results show the model accurately predicts steady-state operating points and captures dynamic responses, such as temperature overshoots in the catalyst bed during load reductions.
