Soil temperature measurements were recorded to assess the environmental impact of a massive flowering and die-off event of the Chusquea culeou bamboo in a native Argentine forest during 2001. Data was collected by the SCIOPS organization under both dead and green bamboo conditions. The study also aimed to understand effects on forest vegetation dynamics.
