ICEWS: Coded Socio-Political Events from News Articles

BBN ACCENT event coder automatically extracts coded interactions between socio-political actors from news articles. Each event is a triple consisting of a source actor, a CAMEO taxonomy event type, and a target actor, with associated geographical-temporal metadata. The ICEWS data was discontinued on 11 April 2023, with a related dataset, POLECAT, available separately.
