High-resolution seafloor geomorphology data from the Vestfold Hills coastal region of Antarctica provides a physical framework for understanding benthic habitats. The dataset combines multibeam sonar and satellite-derived bathymetry to map shallow areas, including those under sea ice, identifying habitats for macroalgae and invertebrate communities. Presented at the 2023 POLAR 2018 conference, this work by the Australian Ocean Data Network supports monitoring of ecosystem vulnerability to climate-driven regime shifts.
