Logger records from the NIMS platform at the Imnavait transect in August 2010. The data was collected by SCIOPS using a manually moved multisensor platform equipped with instruments for measuring radiation, temperature, and spectral reflection. The transect length was approximately 50 meters.
Use Cases
- Analyze the relationship between distance to vegetation canopy (SR50a Sonic Distance) and surface temperature (SI-111 IR radiometer).
- Model shortwave and longwave radiation budgets using up- and downwelling measurements from the CNR4 net radiometer.
- Study spectral reflection patterns for vegetation using data from the Jaz Combo-2 and GreenSeeker RT100 sensors.
- Correlate air temperature and surface temperature measurements across the transect.
Strengths
- Data includes simultaneous measurements from 7 distinct sensor types.
- Records cover a defined 50-meter transect, providing spatial context.
Limitations
- Data is from a single month (August 2010), limiting seasonal analysis.
- Manual movement of the sensor platform may introduce positional inconsistencies.
- Unknown sample size and temporal resolution of the time-series.
