Nine stations around the Australian coastline are sampled monthly for zooplankton, with three samples taken each month. The dataset includes estimates for community composition, biomass, and size spectrum, with data from Port Hacking station available from 2002. It is collected by the Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) National Reference Stations and made available via the Australian Ocean Data Network.
Taxonomic identification fields may be blank if a specimen is only identified to a higher taxonomic level (e.g., family). Users are advised to read the referenced methodology paper (Eriksen et al. 2019) and consult change log tables for taxonomic validity.
