The IMOS Ships of Opportunity - Air-Sea Flux Sub-Facility collects quality-controlled meteorological and oceanographic observations from research and Antarctic resupply voyages in oceans near Australia. Observations include wind, air and sea temperature, humidity, pressure, precipitation, and radiation, processed into daily files of 1-minute averages. Data is managed by the Australian Ocean Data Network, with quality control performed by the Bureau of Meteorology.
Data is available in web service formats (WFS, WMS) and PNG/HTML, which may require specific tools for access and analysis compared to standard tabular files.
