IMOS SOOP-SST: Near Real-Time Sea Surface Temperature Observations from Ships

The IMOS SOOP-Sea Surface Temperature sub-facility provides quality-controlled, near real-time SST data from ships of opportunity and research vessels worldwide. Data is supplied within 24 hours from vessels in regions including the Southern Ocean, coastal Australia, the Pacific, and South-East Asia. Observations are used for satellite calibration and fed into the Bureau of Meteorology's operational SST analyses.
