Description
Projections for 2100 model the impact of shifting toward healthy diets on soil greenhouse gas emissions across Europe. The dataset includes different scenarios of diet adoption (100%, 30%, 10%) and covers impacts on CO2 removal and N2O emissions, as well as afforestation mitigation. It was published by the Joint Research Centre and last updated on July 8, 2023.
Use Cases
Modeling future greenhouse gas emissions based on diet adoption scenarios.
Assessing the mitigation potential of afforestation on soil emissions.
Comparing the impacts of different healthy diet adoption rates (e.g., 10% vs 100%).
Analyzing the relationship between dietary shifts and specific gases like N2O.
Strengths
Includes projections for the year 2100, providing a long-term view.
