Juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were studied to assess the trade-off between growth and immunity following immunization with a bivalent mineral oil-adjuvanted vaccine. The dataset contains measurements of standard metabolic rate, maximum respiratory performance, and endocrine growth regulation at 14 and 54 days post-injection. Findings indicate vaccination inhibited length growth, likely mediated by reduced insulin-like growth factor I production, without affecting basal aerobic energetics.
