Northern Hemisphere Snow and Ice Cover Maps at 1 km, 4 km, and 24 km Resolutions

Daily snow and ice cover maps for the Northern Hemisphere from February 1997 to the present, produced by the National Ice Center's Interactive Multisensor Snow and Ice Mapping System (IMS). The data integrates satellite imagery and in situ observations and is available in ASCII text and GeoTIFF formats at three spatial resolutions. This operational product is archived by the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC).
