Description
Varshaa Arun compiled a longitudinal dataset supporting comparative analysis of Solar PV and Wind Energy deployment in India from 2010 to 2025. The dataset includes installed capacity by year, LCOE trajectories, auction-discovered tariffs, and state-level deployment data. Primary sources are IRENA Renewable Power Generation Costs (2025), MNRE Year-wise Achievements, and CEA.
Use Cases
Forecast renewable energy capacity growth based on installed capacity by year
Compare cost competitiveness between solar and wind based on LCOE trajectories and auction tariffs
Analyze state-level policy effectiveness based on state-level deployment data
Conduct sensitivity analysis for energy models using the included sensitivity analysis parameters
Strengths
Data covers a 15-year longitudinal period from 2010 to 2025
Compiled from authoritative sources including IRENA, MNRE, and CEA
Includes multiple data facets: capacity, cost, tariffs, and state-level deployment
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
