Description
Yakutia in 2018 was the location for fieldwork to estimate aboveground biomass for four boreal forest species (Larix gmelinii, Picea obovata, Pinus sylvestris, Pinus sibirica). Scientists from the Alfred Wegener Institute, the University of Potsdam, and Russian research institutes collected samples from three living trees per site, measuring dry weights of needles, stems, and other components. The data includes tree height, vitality, diameters, and crown measurements for individual trees.
