Description
More than 500 X-ray sources detected by the INTEGRAL/ISGRI satellite over 6 years of operation. The catalog provides fractional variability, flux, and errors for these sources across the 20-40, 40-100, and 100-200 keV energy bands, compiled by the HEASARC in December 2010. It is based on data from the INTEGRAL Reference Catalog and the associated research paper.
Use Cases
Classifying unidentified X-ray sources based on their variability properties mentioned in the description.
Analyzing source activity across specific time periods using the map_det* and source_flag parameters.
Studying spectral energy distributions using flux data across three distinct energy bands.
Investigating detection artifacts and source interactions using the 'ghost' source flag indicator.
Strengths
Contains data for more than 500 sources, many of which are new discoveries.
Provides measurements across three specific energy bands (20-40, 40-100, 100 200 keV).
Includes flags and parameters detailing detection conditions and time periods.
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
