Experimental data shows the effect of interlocked thin-ply reinforcement units on the fracture toughness and compression after impact strength of CFRP laminates. The dataset contains mode I and mode II fracture toughness data from DCB and 4-point end notch flexure tests, and CAI data with post-impact C-scans and compression test results. The data was produced by John-Alan Pascoe of Imperial College London and the reinforcement concept was presented at the 18th European Conference on Composite Materials in 2018.
